As they were still producing Split screens till 1968 and has a lot of the cross over features from Split to Bay that only occurred for this 1 year. I am very pleased to offer this completely rust free 1967/68 VW Bay Window Panel Van/day van with the most amazing patina Originally used as an advertising vehicle for a VW dealership in Las Vegas. Coming from a dry state there is zero rust She was purchased from the US back in 2010 as a rolling shell she has under gone a very tasteful and profession rebuild. Engine and gearbox very smooth with being MOT'd and serviced each year. Drives faultlessly with no knocks, bangs or noises, smooth gear changes, a real pleasure to driver unlike some of these vans of this era. Insulated and decked with rock and roll and new upholstery. It whines a bit on 4th but Is fine A recon steering box has been fitted and with all new ball joints, idle pin, steering drag link and tie rods steers well. The outside of the van is something you just cannot manufacture. It has sat for years in the desert and the paint has a fantastic patina about it. There are odd dents around the van but it just simply adds to the character. The cab steps are in great condition and the cab doors which are 68 only are in mint condition. All new seals from heritage have been fitted on the cab doors, slider, windows and engine lid. Underneath, the van is pristine for a girl of this age.
